A one-of-a-kind piece on the easel, ten minutes on the main stage and, in the end, a sum hardly anyone in the room had expected. The money has since arrived where it belongs: with children battling cancer in Magdeburg.
Magdeburg, 3 October, Maritim Hotel. The Cash Conference brings together entrepreneurs, founders and investors. At 5:25 pm, an unusual item is on the main stage programme: “Auction of a DOTCOMCANVAS® unique piece”. The screen above makes the purpose clear: all proceeds go to a good cause.

Where the money goes
The Magdeburger Förderkreis krebskranker Kinder e.V. supports children and teenagers with cancer and their families at Magdeburg University Hospital. Among other things, with:
- a family house at the university hospital, so parents can stay close to their child during treatment,
- counselling and financial support for families facing hardship because of the illness,
- funding for childhood cancer research in Magdeburg,
- activities that offer a break from hospital life and bring back a bit of normality.
